The Nicholas Kinyera Foundation welcomes volunteers from Uganda and around the world who are passionate about serving children, empowering communities, supporting families, and creating positive change.

What Can Volunteers Do?

• Education & Child Support

Volunteers can support children through tutoring, mentorship, reading activities, digital literacy, career guidance, life-skills training, sports, creative activities, and educational programs. Volunteers are expected to interact with children responsibly and follow all child protection and safeguarding requirements.

• Women & Economic Empowerment

Volunteers with relevant skills can support women and community groups through entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, business development, vocational skills, digital skills, and mentorship. Your knowledge can help individuals develop practical pathways toward self-reliance.

• Community Development

Volunteers can participate in community outreach, awareness campaigns, research, project activities, environmental initiatives, community mobilization, and other development programs. We encourage volunteers to work alongside communities rather than simply providing short-term solutions.

• Healthcare & Well-being

Qualified healthcare professionals can support approved health initiatives, medical outreach, health education, nutrition awareness, hygiene promotion, and other community health activities. All healthcare volunteering is subject to appropriate qualifications, approvals, and professional requirements.

• Digital & Professional Skills

Professionals can volunteer their expertise in areas such as website development, graphic design, photography, video production, social media, communications, accounting, legal support, fundraising, research, monitoring and evaluation, and organizational development.

• Christian Ministry & Outreach

Volunteers who share our Christian values may participate in evangelism, prayer activities, Bible study, discipleship, community outreach, children’s ministry, and other faith-based initiatives, while respecting the dignity, freedom, and backgrounds of everyone we serve.
